E6B flight computer
Every side of the classic E6B in one place: wind correction and groundspeed, finding the wind, time-speed-distance, fuel with the legal reserve, true airspeed, density altitude and conversions. Each answer shows the math so you can do it on the real E6B at the checkride.

How to use it for a cross-country
- Measure the true course and distance on the sectional, or let the flight planner do it.
- Use Wind correction with the winds aloft (true) to get your true heading and groundspeed, then apply variation for the magnetic heading.
- Use Time, speed, distance and Fuel to get the time en route and fuel, including the 30-minute (day) or 45-minute (night) reserve.
- In flight, use Find the wind after two checkpoints to see what the wind is really doing.
Study aid. Your aircraft's POH and a proper weather briefing come first. Learn the full process in the flight planning guide and practice it in flight planning practice.
